The fleet that never was ("Never-Were's")
Below you’ll find a list of the “Special Editions” that Superior has released and will be releasing models of ships that were planned by various navies in the WWI & WWII eras but which never got off the drawing board.
These are the so-called “Never-Weres”. Note these are not “fantasy” designs but ones that were actually planned by the world’s naval architects.
Free E-Book
For some fascinating background on these ships, don’t miss our “Fleet That Never Was” e-book, authored by Wayne Smith, consultant to Alnavco, who also has done and is doing the original tooling for these models
Pricing & Availability
We issue and reissue Never-Were’s periodically on a “Special Production Run” basis so keep checking our website and mailings for availability.
Prices range from $29.50 to $37.50 depending on the size of the model. The one exception is the German 128,390 ton H44 battleship which is generally $52.50. Dates are approximate years of designs

Notes: Models with a * next to them are planned for future release. This is not a complete list of all of
this type of model that Superior will be releasing.
Our continuing research keeps turning up other “Neverwere” designs so do keep checking our website and mailers for these additions.
Also, if a model(s) you want isn’t available at a particular time, order it anyway. They will be put on
backorder for you and if we accumulate enough orders for a particular model, we will take it out of its
normal “rotation” and produce it.
